Admission Rulles

Admission into 1st year class starts within a week after the publication of Higher Secondary (10 + 2) Examination result of W.B.C.H.S.E. The process is completed within 45 days after publication (without fine 30 days + 15 days with fine) of result or as notified by the University. Application form along with Prospectus is available from the college office on production of original mark sheet of H.S. Examination and requisite fee. At the time of admission the following enclosures must be attached with the application form :
     1. Age proof- Attested Photocopy of Secondary Admit Card.
     2. Attested Photocopy of HS Mark sheet.
     3. Original School Leaving Certificate.
     4. Attested Photocopy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate.
     5. 3 Copies of Passport Size Coloured Photo, of which one must be pasted in the application form.
     6. Original Migration Certificate for students except West Bengal Board.
Candidates seeking admission are required to apply to the Principal in prescribed forms with attested copies of necessary documents. The originals are to be kept ready for verification. The college reserve the rights to refuse admission to a candidate without specifying any reason. Once admitted, a student remains on the roll of the College subject to his or her satisfactory progress, good behavior, regularity in attendance and regular payment of fees. A student who passed in XII class level with at least four / five subjects can apply for admission. Marks obtained in top four/ five subjects shall be considered to ascertain the aggregate marks of a candidate passing the examination in the grade system and also in the system based on marks.
Applicants and guardians are requested to read the admission criteria carefully which is given in the Prospectus for different subjects or streams before filling the forms. Forms are liable to be cancelled if it is not filled up according to norms. Fees once paid will not be returned.


Candidates are advised to be very careful in selection streams, subjects etc. before admission. Prayer for change of neither the stream nor the subject combination is permitted once admission is taken. The onus of wrong choice of combination, not permitted by the University, shall lie entirely upon the applicant.
